Company Overview

The Fitness Group is the UK's leading fitness education training provider, dedicated to helping students from around the globe achieve internationally accredited qualifications in the health and fitness sector. As part of our expanding marketing team, we're seeking an experienced SEO Manager to enhance our online visibility and drive business growth.

Summary

You'll take ownership of our SEO strategy across all channels, optimising landing pages, blogs, and social media to improve search rankings and boost organic traffic. Collaborating closely with our content and marketing teams, you'll ensure SEO best practices are woven into everything we create - from web copy to social campaigns.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to improve organic search performance across our website and blog content.
Conduct keyword research and help optimise content to align with target search terms and user intent.

Manage on-page SEO, optimising meta tags, headers, URLs, and internal linking structures.

Identify and resolve technical SEO issues to improve website performance and search visibility.

Monitor website performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush, Ahrefs ETC providing actionable insights and regular reports.

Collaborate with content writers and marketing team members to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all content creation efforts.

Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes to adapt strategies accordingly.

Requirements

Proven experience in SEO with a strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in SEO strategy development and implementation.

Strong understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles.

Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.

Knowledge of website optimisation platforms and content management systems like WordPress.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with content writers and marketing colleagues.

Experience working in the education, fitness, or wellness sector is desirable but not essential.
