Job Title: Digital Content Lead
Department: Communications
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Location: The CalForth Construction Arena at Tannadice Park and the Dundee United Training Centre, St Andrews
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (including all matchdays which will Involve regular evenings and weekends)

Overview
Dundee United Football Club are seeking a creative Digital Content Lead to direct the club’s digital output across all channels and drive fan engagement. This pivotal role spans across the Clubs content strategy and creation, full management of the club’s social media channels and website, working closely with the Clubs Head of Media and Digital Marketing Manager to ensure strong consistency and collaborations across the wider Communications team.

Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Creation
• Develop and implement the club’s digital content strategy across our website, social media, and video platforms under the Instruction of the CEO and COO.
• Oversee video, graphics and written content for matchdays and behind the scenes features, ensuring content aligns with the club’s brand voice and engagement objectives.

Social Media & Website Management
• Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to manage all official social media accounts
• Develop engaging content to enhance fan Interaction and grow the Clubs digital presence.
• Monitor trends and analytics to optimise content performance.
• Ensure the Club's website is regularly updated with news, match previews/reports, and multimedia content.
• Collaborate with external developers and Internal stakeholders to enhance the clubs’ digital platforms.

Internal Relationships
• Work closely with all relevant stakeholders across the club with regards to digital content support.

Events & Matchday Activation
• Support the Football, Commercial and Events teams with planning, promotion, and creation of content for on-the-day delivery of events, business functions, and fan experiences.
• Assist with the coordination and production of key events such as kit launches, fan days, and business networking events.
• Provide live digital coverage and content support for all first team matches.
• Confident in interviewing on camera, and in front of a live audience.
• Delivering high quality photography for new signings and training sessions.

Skills & Experience
Essential
• Proven experience developing and delivering digital content strategies across websites, social media, and video platforms.
• Strong ability to plan, create, and oversee high quality multimedia content, including video, graphics, and written content.
• Direct experience in working confidently with DSLR and Mirrorless cameras
• Demonstratable understanding of brand voice, audience engagement and translating organisational goals into effective digital output.
• Direct experience managing multiple social platforms for an organisation or brand.
• Proficient in content management systems and updating websites.
• Competent using creative and editing tools e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software.
• Experience coordinating matchday or event-based content, working in fast paced or deadline driven environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and working under pressure, particularly around matchdays or major announcements.

Desirable
• Experience working within a sports organisation, media environment, or entertainment industry.
• Understanding of fan engagement strategies, particularly in football or similar sport settings.
• Ability to script or storyboard content for video features.
• Qualifications in Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a similar field.
