Job Description
Girls Early Engagement Programme Lead
Hampshire Cricket Player Pathway
Permanent, Part Time role

JOB PURPOSE:
To oversee, manage and coach within the Girls Early Engagement Programme for Hampshire Cricket. The successful candidate will be responsible for all programme governance and administration. Responsibilities include effectively communicating with all key stakeholders, recruiting and appraising coaches, and all year-round program scheduling. Beyond coaching on the program, the post holder will ensure all players within respective age groups across U10-U12 are identified, developed, and accommodated toward receiving the correct tier of cricket and progressed accordingly.

Hampshire Cricket - Pathway Development Coach – Variable

Where time may allow the candidate may be requested to deliver coaching across all Hampshire Cricket Pathway teams and programs as and when required.


KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

• Deliver coaching across a 12-month period across the EEP programme, including coach support of the county’s Hawks and Jets program.
• Manage the coaches within the EEP, programme and ensure the correct number of coaches are at each training session or match and organise cover if required.
• Work alongside Head of Ops and Player Development Manager to promote the values and vision of the Pathway within the appointed region and respective age group.
• Appraise and offer feedback to players and parents at appropriate times of the year
• Be the point of contact for the region’s league association, players, parents, and clubs.
• Correspond with coaches, players & parents offering information and news on the program
• Work with the Head of Performance to manage the player movement between EEP, RPC, Shadow squads and CAG teams.
• Facilitate autumn player assessments for all age groups within your regions and select winter squads with other staff, ensuring all players who attended are selected/deselected with justification and appropriate correspondence.
• Work towards a 3-phase programme all year round. 1. Talent ID & Selection. 2. Winter Program. 3. Summer Program.

Essential
• Level 2 Coaching Accreditation (minimum) with a desire to work towards Level 3
• Ability to work to deadlines, communicate effectively while maintaining a flexible approach and contributing to a team environment.
• Strong set of personal values which are totally aligned with cricket’s values of accountability, excellence, honesty, trust, and teamwork.
• Ability to have tough conversations around selections and always maintain professionalism
• Accountable, disciplined, and motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Current Safeguarding, First Aid and DBS certification
• The willingness and ability to work reasonable flexible hours across all days of the week
• A full valid UK driving licence and use of car


Desirable
• Previous experience working within a sporting venue
• H&S qualification
• Budget management
• Proven people management skills.
• Highly developed Microsoft Office computer knowledge and skills

Hours Of Work
Core hours - Monday to Friday - 9am—5pm, however there may be flexibility around start and finish times.
Some evenings and weekends may be required for major events and specific to the requirements
of the role


Salary
Up to £16,000 depending on experience
