Job Description
About Take Her Lead

Take Her Lead (THL) is a charity founded to promote equity and diversity in cricket and increase the participation of women & girls. Our mission is to ensure every woman and girl feels like they belong in cricket, by empowering, amplifying and connecting across the cricket community.
Founded in 2022 by former England cricketer Isa Guha in memory of her mum, Roma, Take Her Lead is creating a cricket culture where every woman and girl can fulfil their potential and thrive, within the game and beyond.

About The Role

The role has been created through partnership between THL and the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and supports delivery of the Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund (the Fund).

In 2023, Metro Bank became the first champion partner of women’s and cricket, including the co-designed and jointly funded by Metro Bank and ECB ‘Metro Bank Girls in Cricket Fund’

The Fund has a laser focus on the growth and sustainability of girl’s cricket focusing on the people – coaches and volunteers that make girls’ cricket happen.

The Fund was piloted in 2024, moving to national roll out last year across 38 Recreational Cricket Boards.

This role will specifically support the ‘Network’ pillar of the Fund across 38 Recreational Cricket Boards. The purpose of the Network pillar is to deliver a series of learning workshops and events for coaches and volunteers of girls’ cricket.

The THL Women's Network aligns strongly with the ‘Network’ pillar of the Metro Bank Girls in Cricket fund, and through this partnership we will focus on three key objectives over the next 12 months - Grow, Inspire and Educate. The goal is for the THL Women’s Network to grow a diverse, equipped and confident female cricket workforce in the recreational game, through knowledge-sharing, connection and education, which will positively impact on cricket’s game-wide ambition to become the most inclusive team sport.

As part of this partnership, THL are recruiting a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead the THL Women’s Network.

The THL Women Network Manager (WNM) plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the THL Women’s Network and all the activities to meet the three key objectives of - Grow, Inspire and Educate.

The successful candidate will oversee the planning and execution of the THL Women’s Network activities, as well as ad-hoc projects as needed, ensuring they are delivered to the highest possible standard, meeting the programme objectives set out and positively impacting THL’s charitable objectives.

The WNM will lead in growing and managing the THL Women’s Network community. The role will encompass ‘Take Her Lead On The Road’ - providing tailored and focused support to the 38 Recreational Cricket Boards across England and Wales, engaging and supporting the network of volunteers, coaches and those leading the women and girls game within their county, providing them access to the benefits of the network. The WNM will plan inspirational events and activations - both live and online, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and launch the ‘Women’s Cricket Partners Collective’ - a collective of organisations that are working to improve inclusion for women and girls in cricket. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the WNM will work closely with key stakeholders to help empower the workforce that is growing the women and girls game in recreational cricket.
