Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE:

Table Tennis England works in partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation, including by providing a competition pathway, girls programme and teacher/leadership awards.

Reporting to the Area Manager (London), the Jack Petchey Programme Officer will be a key member of the Development Team.

The role will support the wider team by coordinating programme delivery, stakeholder engagement and customer service, aligned with Table Tennis England’s strategic objectives.

THE OPPORTUNITY :

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the activities Table Tennis England and the Jack Petchey Foundation collaborate on, to inspire and celebrate young people through programmes across London and Essex. The role will work to deliver the Jack Petchey Table Tennis Programme across London and Essex, ensuring high-quality competitions, efficient management of the table donation scheme, strong partner relationships and robust monitoring and evaluation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROGRAMME DELIVERY

• Lead the delivery of London and Essex Jack Petchey Schools Competitions, including Area Finals, working closely with Schools County Secretaries
• Coordinate teacher training, the girls’ programme and other supplementary activities linked to the Jack Petchey Foundation partnership

TABLE DONATION SCHEME

• Manage the full lifecycle of the table donation scheme, including processing orders, liaising with suppliers, raising purchase orders/invoices and ensuring timely delivery
• Collect and report monitoring and evaluation data, producing case studies and good-practice stories that demonstrate programme impact

PARTNERSHIP & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

• Act as the primary contact for schools, youth clubs, suppliers, volunteers and internal departments
• Act as a contact with the JPF Foundation and attending meetings
• Provide high-quality customer service via email, phone and Zendesk, ensuring enquiries are resolved efficiently

ADMINISTRATION & COORDINATION

• Maintain programme documentation, monitor progress against KPIs and support reporting to the Jack Petchey Foundation
• Work collaboratively with the Area Manager, Development Support Officer, Finance and other internal teams to ensure smooth operating processes

GENERAL

• Support wider development and competition activity as required
• Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion standards at all times
• Undertake such duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post, and the needs of Table Tennis England, which may include promotion of other TTE programmes such as TT Kidz and Membership.
