Your CV and any additional supporting evidence will also be attached and made available to the hiring manager.- Field Based (in the South of England)- 35 Hours a Week (Mon-Fri)About the RoleWe are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated Educator Training Officer (South) to support the recruitment, development and ongoing quality of Swim England’s educator workforce.This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality delivery and assessment across all educational programmes, supporting tutors, training centres and partners to maintain excellent teaching and learning standards.Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will lead educator recruitment activity, deliver training programmes, and support educators throughout their development journey. Your work will help ensure a consistent and high-quality learner experience across all Swim England education provision.Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will:- Lead the recruitment process for new educators, including application, shortlisting and interviewing- Develop and deliver educator recruitment activities and initiatives- Plan and deliver tutor training programmes (face-to-face and online), including marking and feedback- Provide tailored support and additional learning resources to trainees- Lead educator placement processes, including meetings, observations, feedback and reflective sessions- Liaise with training centres and experienced deliverers to coordinate placements and support requirements- Conduct teaching, learning and assessment observations, providing constructive feedback and escalating concerns where appropriate- Plan and deliver educator upskilling and standardisation activities aligned to training needs and new programme developments- Contribute to the development of learning and assessment materials, including digital solutions- Collaborate with Education and Learning Developers to enhance programme design and delivery- Maintain accurate records of educator training, placements and development activity- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders- Ensure all activity aligns with safeguarding, welfare, EDI and data protection standardsSkills and ExperienceEssential- Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PTLLS or equivalent) or Tutor/Assessor qualification- Experience delivering teaching, learning, assessment and feedback (online and face-to-face)- Aquatic teaching and/or coaching qualification with relevant practical experience- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal feedback- Ability to build and manage effective stakeholder relationships- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise varied workloads- Experience using Microsoft Office and digital systems- Knowledge of online learning and assessment platforms- Ability to travel nationally to support educators and training centresDesirable- Experience developing online learning content- Experience mentoring or supporting trainee educators- Knowledge of swimming and aquatic disciplinesPlease be advised that we cannot offer visa sponsorship and that you must have right to work in the UK to apply or be considered for this role.
