Head Netball Coach Organisation Stratford Thunderbirds Netball Club Salary Competitive Location Stratford-upon-Avon Contract type Fixed Term (Full time) Closing date 1 August 2026 Job Description Stratford Thunderbirds Netball Club is seeking an experienced Head of Coaching/Head Coach and additional coaches to join our existing coaching team as independent contractors.Based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Thunderbirds is one of the region's leading junior netball clubs, supporting over 200 players from Year 4 through to Senior Netball. We deliver training across four evenings each week and compete in leagues, tournaments and performance competitions throughout the West Midlands at weekends.For more than 11 years, Thunderbirds has built a reputation for developing talented athletes and providing opportunities for players of all abilities. Our players have consistently reached Regional Finals, represented the region at National Finals and progressed to represent England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and France.As we move into an exciting new chapter, we are looking to build a coaching structure that will continue to develop players, inspire future talent and strengthen our long-term pathway.We are particularly interested in hearing from:• An experienced Head of Coaching/Head Coach to lead the club's coaching programme and player development pathway• England Netball Level 2 (minimum) qualified coaches to work with individual squads and age groups• Current and former NXT Gen, Performance Pathway and Super League players that are interested in regular coaching opportunities• Specialist coaches able to deliver masterclasses, positional coaching and performance sessionsKey responsibilities may include:• Delivering weekly training sessions• Supporting teams at weekend fixtures, tournaments and competitions across the West Midlands• Contributing to player development and progression pathways• Working collaboratively with fellow coaches, team managers and club volunteers• Creating positive, inclusive and challenging environments for playersWhat we offer:• A well-established club with over 200 players• A proven record of regional and national success• Strong parental engagement and volunteer support• Existing team management and administrative structures• Flexible coaching opportunities across multiple age groups• Contract-based coaching roles with monthly invoicing• Competitive remuneration based on experience, qualifications and responsibilitiesWhether you are looking for a leadership role, a regular weekly coaching commitment or occasional coaching opportunities alongside playing or other coaching responsibilities, we would love to hear from you.
