Vacancy: Premier League Kicks Coach

Stockport County Community Trust are looking to recruit a FA Level 2 Coach to work on their Premier League Kicks (PL Kicks) Programme.

About Stockport County Community Trust

Stockport County Community Trust is the official charity of Stockport County Football Club which was set up in 2021 after the purchase of the club by Mark Stott to achieve his aim of ensuring the football club has a positive impact in the local community. The charity works across Stockport and the surrounding area to use the power of football and Stockport County to make a positive difference by inspiring, educating and supporting the community.

The charity engages with around 10,000 people each year through a variety of education, social inclusion and health and wellbeing programmes, working with residents aged from 5-85 (the current age of our youngest and oldest participant) in a variety of club and community settings.

Purpose of the role

Stockport County Community Trust is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to deliver football and youth engagement sessions in the evening as part of our PL Kicks programme.

This is a rare opportunity to join a charity which is developing and expanding, and which is committed to making a difference to the community in Stockport.

Job title: PL Kicks Coach
Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week (evenings only)
Expected Start Date: Monday 16th February 2026

Roles and responsibilities

To work closely with the PL Kicks Co-Ordinator, the successful candidates will be responsible for:

Supporting the delivery of our PL Kicks football and sport sessions.

Delivering football sessions that are engaging and inclusive for participants and assist with trips, workshops and group activities.

Working with programme leads to ensure all sessions and activities are planned and delivered to the standards required by funding partners and the values of the Trust.

Act in accordance with the Trust’s aim and objectives and seek to promote them.

Ensuring the Designated Safeguarding Officer is informed immediately of any concerns relating to safeguarding in relation to any incidents taken place on the programme.

Person Specification

Qualifications:

FA UEFA C (Level 2) qualification = E

Other sports coaching qualification(s) = D

Full driving licence with access to own transport, including business insurance = D

In-date enhanced DBS, first aid, safeguarding and child protection certificate = D

Coaches should have the following skills and experience:

Ability to work flexible hours, evenings only = E

Experience planning and delivering football activities for young people aged 10-16 years, in a community setting = E

Ability to create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment = E

Ability to support vulnerable members of the community and maintain positive relationships with them and understand the barriers, obstacles and challenges facing the local community = E

Self-motivation and the ability to work on own initiative whilst also being able to effectively work in a team = E

E= essential D = desirable
