The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Degree Programme Mentor to join our Education Department.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students enrolled on our Higher Education and Degree programmes by providing academic, pastoral and professional mentoring throughout their learner journey. Alongside mentoring responsibilities, the post-holder will coordinate the operational delivery, administration, monitoring and reporting of the EFL Joy of Moving programme, ensuring high-quality delivery and measurable impact against funding requirements.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people, developing educational opportunities, and making a lasting impact through education, community engagement and partnership working.Key Responsibilities• Provide academic, pastoral, and professional mentoring to students on the Trust’s Higher Education and Degree programmes.• Monitor student progress, attendance, wellbeing, and engagement through regular reviews and support meetings.• Coordinate and support the delivery, monitoring, and reporting of the EFL Joy of Moving programme.• Maintain accurate student and programme records, including registers, reports, and KPI data.• Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, schools, universities, employers, and community partners.• Support student recruitment, enrolment, induction, and progression activities.• Contribute to employability, enrichment, and community engagement opportunities that enhance student outcomes.• Ensure all activities are delivered in line with safeguarding, GDPR, equality, and organisational policies.About YouEssential Criteria• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience. • Experience supporting, mentoring or working with young people or adults within an educational setting. • Experience of programme administration, monitoring and reporting. • Strong understanding of student support, wellbeing and safeguarding. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. • Experience collecting, analysing and reporting programme data. • Ability to build positive relationships with students, education providers, employers and external stakeholders. • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team. • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. • Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. • Flexible approach to working occasional evenings, weekends and events.Desirable Criteria• Experience working within Higher Education, Further Education or community education. • Experience managing funded education or community programmes. • Knowledge or experience of the EFL Joy of Moving programme. • Teaching, coaching, mentoring or education-related qualification. • Experience developing partnerships and expanding educational provision. • Full UK Driving Licence and access to own transport.Why join us:This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious Education Department where you will have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of young people through education, mentoring and community engagement.As part of MK Dons Community Trust, you will work within a supportive and collaborative environment that values innovation and partnership working, while helping students achieve their academic, personal and professional potential.Our Commitment Equality, Diversity & Inclusion We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that values diversity and welcomes applications from all backgrounds and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
