Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious, creative and commercially driven Group Head of Marketing & Communications to lead and deliver all marketing, media, communications and brand activity across the Club and wider Group businesses.

This is a senior leadership role reporting to our Group CEO, Neil Hart, responsible for driving audience growth, supporter engagement, brand awareness and commercial performance through innovative and impactful communication strategies. The successful candidate will oversee all external and internal communications, digital platforms and content production, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presence across every touchpoint.

As well as driving the football, the role will also play a key part in supporting wider Group operations including hospitality, events, partnerships, community initiatives and venue activity.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketing and communications professional to make a significant impact within an ambitious and fast-moving sporting and entertainment environment.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement an integrated group wide marketing and communications strategy aligned with commercial and operational objectives.
Lead all brand, media and communications activity across the Club and wider Group.
Review & enhance our digital information.
Drive supporter engagement, digital growth and audience development across all platforms.
Oversee websites, social media, email marketing, streaming platforms and digital campaigns.
Create and deliver innovative campaigns promoting fixtures, hospitality, retail, ticketing, events and Group initiatives.
Lead multimedia content production including video, graphics, photography and editorial features.
Manage media relations, press operations, interviews, press conferences and matchday communications.
Support sponsorship activation and partner visibility through integrated campaigns.
Monitor campaign performance, audience trends and analytics to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Manage reputational communications and support senior leadership with media strategy and crisis communications.
Collaborate closely with commercial, ticketing, hospitality, retail and community teams to support revenue generation and business growth.
Lead, mentor and develop the marketing, media and communications team of staff.
Manage departmental budgets and ensure effective allocation of resources.

About You
You will be a highly motivated and strategic marketing and communications leader with exceptional creativity, communication skills and commercial awareness.

You will have:
A degree-level qualification in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Significant experience in a senior marketing, communications or media leadership role.
Preferred experience in a football, sporting or stadium environment.
Proven success delivering integrated marketing and communications campaigns.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing, audience engagement and social media strategy.
Experience managing media relations and reputational communications.
Excellent copywriting, editing and storytelling skills.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to thrive under pressure.
A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
The ability to work all home and away matchdays when required.

Desirable Experience
Experience within professional sport, football, hospitality or live events.
Knowledge of CRM systems, paid media campaigns and analytics platforms.
Understanding of football media operations and sports broadcasting environments.
Experience overseeing video, photography and graphic design production.
