As we continue to grow and develop our women's and girls' pathway, we are looking to strengthen our medical and performance team within the Women's Pathway Programme.About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and proactive therapist to support our U19 players as part of the Women's Pathway Programme. Working under the guidance and supervision of the Women's Physiotherapist, you will be integral to the day-to-day medical care, injury management, and rehabilitation of our players. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practitioner to gain valuable experience within a professional rugby league environment and to develop their skills alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities• Assess, treat, and diagnose player injuries, both acute and chronic• Plan and deliver effective rehabilitation programmes, including pitch-based rehabilitation• Provide pitchside first aid and emergency cover during training sessions and fixtures• Liaise closely with the Strength and Conditioning team to support safe and effective return to play• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date clinical records and injury documentation• Communicate effectively with coaching staff, players, and the wider medical team regarding player availability and progress• Contribute to injury prevention and player welfare initiatives• Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct, safeguarding, and player care at all times Essential Requirements• Must be a qualified Physiotherapist, Sports Therapist, or Sports Rehabilitator with appropriate professional registration, indemnity cover, and insurance:◦ Physiotherapists must be registered with the HCPC and a member of the CSP◦ Sports Therapists / Sports Rehabilitators must be registered with BASRaT or hold SST membership (or equivalent recognised body)• Must hold a valid pitchside emergency care qualification: IMMOFP / ATMMiF or equivalent• Candidates holding ITMMiF or equivalent will be considered; the club will fund progression to the next level of pitchside cover qualification• Valid and up-to-date professional indemnity insurance• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)• Up-to-date safeguarding and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Desirable• Previous experience working within a professional or semi-professional sporting environment• Experience within rugby league, women's sport, or another contact/collision sport• Knowledge of return-to-play protocols and concussion management• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary teamLocation & TravelThis role is based across two sites:• Cowley High School Training Facility, St Helens• Brewdog Stadium, St HelensTravel to away fixtures will be provided by team coach unless otherwise stated.
