Job Description
The Field Operations Coordinator (FOC) is responsible for the on-the-ground execution of Sportable tracked Women’s Super League matchdays. Successful candidates will lead matchday operational delivery from preparation through to post-match processes, ensuring systems are installed, operated and maintained to the highest possible standard. The role also includes supervising casual operational staff and acting as a key on-site representative for Sportable.



This role requires regular weekend work (offset with days off during the week) and potential national travel to various WSL stadiums. Availability during WSL match weekends is an essential requirement of the role. Frequent travel, overnight stays, and working bank holidays may be required depending on fixture scheduling and operational demands. Candidates would preferably live in reasonable proximity to one, or numerous WSL stadiums.



This role operates on a fixed-term contract structure aligned to the Women’s Super League season.

Contract Start Date: 3rd August 2026

Contract End Date: 28th May 2027



Responsibilities:

Matchday Preparation


Lead individual matchday readiness including:
Equipment preparation, testing, maintenance and inventory management
Matchday logistics and operational planning including risk management
External communication with clubs and stadiums
Internal communication and coordination with casual operational staff
Identify operational risks ahead of matchday and escalate where appropriate


Matchday Execution


Lead on-site set up, delivery and removal of Sportable tracking technology

Execute live operational processes in accordance with Sportable standard operating procedures

Supervise and coordinate casual staff during delivery

Identify, troubleshoot and escalate operational or technical issues appropriately

Represent Sportable professionally at all times whilst on-site

Support the creation of a positive, professional and high-performing operational environment on-site


Post-Match Responsibilities


Ensure all post-match processes and documentation are completed thoroughly and accurately

Provide structured operational reporting to relevant internal stakeholders within required timelines

Support smooth handover into post-match data workflows where required



Essential Skills & Experience:


Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced live environments

Strong organisational and communication skills

High attention to detail and process adherence

Confidence working independently and making operational decisions

Willingness to travel nationally and work weekends regularly

Ability to work outside of traditional office hours when delivering

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle



Desirable Skills & Experience:


Education to undergraduate level

Experience within elite sport, live events, or sports technology environments

Understanding of football operations and/or live matchday environments

Experience coordinating people or operational activity

Technical confidence with hardware, systems or other technologies

Experience in stakeholder-facing roles
