Salary: £25k - £30k (depending on experience)
Application Deadline: Friday 13th March 2026
Location: Sheffield, UK (on-site)
Start Date: April 2026

Sport:80 is an award-winning provider of technology solutions to the global sports industry. We design, develop and support innovative cloud-based solutions, and our flagship product, the Sport:80 Platform, is trusted by over 80 NGBs and sports organisations in the UK, USA, Australia, and Europe.

We’re a close-knit, ambitious team based in Sheffield’s Kelham Island, and we’re looking to recruit a creative and driven individual to join our growing marketing team.

The role

We’re looking for a creative and proactive individual to join our growing marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves creating content, telling stories, and connecting with people, especially within the world of sport and technology.

You’ll take the lead on organic social media, content creation, and brand storytelling, helping to bring the Sport:80 personality to life online. From crafting thought leadership posts and industry commentary to designing eye-catching visuals and celebrating our clients’ successes, your work will help build awareness, engagement, and trust with sports organisations around the world.

This is a hands-on, creative role that offers plenty of room to grow. While your main focus will be on content and social, you’ll have opportunities to gain experience across all areas of marketing as you develop in the role - from ABM and SEO to PR, email marketing, and paid campaigns.

Roles and responsibilities

- Lead on organic social media activity, particularly across LinkedIn, to raise brand awareness, drive engagement, and support lead generation.
- Plan and deliver founder and employee-led content for the LinkedIn pages of Sport:80’s business leaders, ensuring alignment with brand tone, messaging, and strategic goals.
- Develop and execute a content plan aligned with Sport:80’s wider marketing strategy, including blogs, case studies, videos, email content, and thought leadership.
- Support the creation of visual and written assets for campaigns, client communications, and events.
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Business Development Team to align content with wider campaigns.
- Contribute to the human storytelling of Sport:80, showcasing our people, our culture, and the impact our technology has on the sports industry.
- Monitor and analyse content performance to inform future strategies and continuously improve engagement.
- Build relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to produce authentic and relevant content.
- Stay up to date with trends in sports, technology, and digital marketing, bringing fresh ideas and creative approaches to the team.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is creative, curious, and confident, with a genuine interest in sport, technology, and storytelling. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in your work, and love seeing your content make an impact.

You’ll thrive at Sport:80 if you’re:

- A creative thinker who enjoys finding new ways to tell stories, and is confident in pitching and running with ideas.
- Someone with an eye for timing and opportunity - spotting trends, topics, and conversations that Sport:80 can authentically join.
- Driven to create high quality and engaging content.
- A self-starter who’s happy taking ownership of projects but loves collaborating as part of a team.
- Organised, adaptable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
- Eager to learn, grow, and explore different areas of marketing.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Team-oriented with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
- A people person who builds positive relationships internally and externally.
- Always wants to learn and ask questions.

What we are looking for (essentials):

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing or content-related role.
- Experience in managing website and social media content.
- Experience in delivering B2B marketing and content strategies.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading ability.
- Strong copywriting and content creation skills - confident writing for different audiences and platforms.
- Experience managing social media channels, particularly LinkedIn.
- Experience creating visual assets to support campaigns (Adobe Suite, Canva, Figma, Camtasia, etc).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field (min. 2:1).
- Excellent IT skills including use of Apple and/or Microsoft software.
- An interest in sport and/or technology.

Desirable but not essential skills & experience:

- Experience creating multi-media content, including long- and short-form writing, graphics, and short-form video.
- Experience with SEO or content optimisation.
- Familiarity with email marketing and CRM tools (e.g. Mailchimp).
- Experience with paid social or LinkedIn Ads.
- An understanding of ABM principles or campaign-based marketing.
- Experience using analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- A passion for sport and/or technology.
- Fluency in a second language (preferably Spanish, French, or German).
