What is the role?

We are seeking a Recruitment Analyst to support the Men’s First Team player identification and recruitment across Southampton, Valenciennes and Sport Republic through video scouting, data, player reporting and recruitment dossiers.


What will you be doing?

As part of a multidisciplinary recruitment team, you will take a proactive and innovative approach to your work, communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across the club. You will support the production of high-quality player videos and dossiers on recommended recruitment targets, ensuring all outputs align with departmental processes and standards.


You will analyse match footage using the club's position-specific criteria and contribute to the creation and maintenance of an extensive video library of players of interest. A key aspect of the role will involve maintaining and updating databases that are critical to the player identification process, while developing your ability to combine data, video and contextual information to support informed recruitment decisions.


The successful candidate will provide live and video scouting coverage across assigned leagues and players, producing detailed scouting reports and creating engaging video packages on recruitment targets. You will play an active part in the club's recruitment process, attending recruitment meetings when required and recommending players for further assessment by external scouts and senior recruitment staff.


Working closely with the Recruitment Data Analyst, you will help develop statistical comparisons between existing squad members and prospective recruitment targets. You will also coordinate recruitment analysis assignments for interns, supporting their development while ensuring high standards of work are maintained.


In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of personal development experiences throughout the year, gaining valuable insight into the workflows and operations of different departments across the football club.



Is this you?

You will be a motivated and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for recruitment and performance analysis within elite football. Organised, proactive and able to work under pressure, you will manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.


You will be an effective communicator and team player who aligns with the club's values, whilst also being capable of working independently and using your own initiative. A commitment to continuous learning and self-development is essential, alongside strong attention to detail, proficiency in relevant analysis software, and a good understanding of data and video analysis to support player identification and assessment.


Essential Skills and Experience

Proficient in the use of the Hudl suite, Keynote, Excel, Word, iMovie and other relevant software.
Good knowledge and experience of data and video analysis systems and their use to support player identification and assessment.
Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks whilst ensuring a high standard of work.
