TURF is the ambitious and creative studio founded by Southampton FC, bringing together a collective of creative thinkers, designers and producers ready to tackle anything from eye-catching activations to integrated conceptual campaigns.

What is the role?

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Midweight Graphic Designer to work in synergy with the Brand & Creative Lead, design colleagues and wider marketing department to craft visually engaging content across digital, social and traditional media that aligns with our brand’s aesthetic and business goals. You will be working on a range of external and internal projects as we look to expand our services to the world.

What will you be doing?

You will conceptualise, design and prepare visual content for both digital and print materials. This will include the production of social media graphics, web assets and email templates as well as posters, matchday programmes, presentations and banners, keeping creativity at the forefront of design and ensuring consistency across all mediums.

You will contribute to exciting and high-profile projects such as kit launches, retail and merchandise campaigns, season ticket promotions, and special events held at St Mary’s Stadium. Working closely with marketing and commercial teams, the role plays a key part in bringing campaigns to life and engaging supporters across the club’s touchpoints.

Supporting the wider creative process, you will assist in creating mood boards, concept sketches, and mock-ups to help clients visualise designs while ensuring all visual content aligns with brand guidelines and meets project requirements.

Is this you?

You are a skilled designer with at least 3 years of professional experience who is passionate about conceptual design and ready to contribute fresh ideas to a collaborative team.

You have experience in branding and brand design with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to set timelines and priorities to meet deadlines.

You are a creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving who strives to come up with innovative concepts and can work in a flexible way to incorporate feedback into designs.


Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience.
Previous agency experience.
Experienced in and adaptable to utilising AI solutions as part of the design process.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); familiarity with After Effects or Premiere Pro or Figma is a plus.
High understanding of design principles, typography, and layout.
Presentation abilities, with experience pitching creative ideas.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
