Individual Development Coach - Analyst Organisation Southampton Football Club Salary Competitive Location Southampton Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 3 November 2025 Job Description Be part of our journey...Location: Staplewood Campus Hours: Full Time - No set hoursContract Type: Permanent Criminal Record Check: DBS Enhanced with Childs Barred ListWhat is the role?In this role you will lead the high-quality delivery and review of our talent development methodology for identified player profiles across the group, inclusive of on-pitch coaching, analysis and mentoring players specifically to their individual development plans. You will work with Talent+, loan and international youth players aged 16-21 across the group. What will you be doing?You will be leading the delivery and evaluation of player profile-specific programmes, ensuring all identified Talent+ players have a robust Individual Development Plans with clearly defined and agreed KPIs and actions which remain at the centre of all interdisciplinary planning and delivery.Producing individualised video clips and data will aid in helping players meet their targets by providing clear and consistent feedback as well as supporting the creation of player-specific content for our best practice libraries.You will regularly attend games (U16-21s and First Team) to enhance the tracking and benchmarking of identified high-potential players in our talent pipeline, using findings to contribute to Group Talent Strategy Meetings. Leading and planning the delivery of regular profile-specific sessions in collaboration with the Head of Group Talent Development, Individual Development Coaches and the under-16-21s coaching across the group, you will align and enhance the consistent, high-quality delivery of the talent development methodology and group talent strategy objectives. You will work in collaboration with coaches across all areas of the club as well as supporting the Head of Group Talent Management with monitoring and mentoring international players and those on loan, providing weekly overviews and in depth monthly updates to report on current form. Is this you?You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to demonstrate strong technical and tactical football knowledge. You are confident in building strong professional relationships with players, staff and external stakeholders. Essential Skills and Experience UEFA B Licence and/or FA Youth Award Degree in Football Performance AnalysisMinimum two years coaching experience within Academy or International Youth programme at Under 16s – 21s age groups Played football at a professional or semi-professional levelExperience in building player profiles and understanding where players can have success.Experience in leading group & individual performance meetings.Experience in delivering individual football sessions.Experience in building databases.Has experience of working with WyScout, Statsbomb, HUDL, Python or R.Fluent in both English and French (Desirable)How this benefits you… If you are successful, you can look forward to a healthy benefits package; Access to x2 free match tickets for every home league game.
