What is the role?

Be part of a friendly, fan and visitor-focused approach to delivering a safe, secure and enjoyable site, where you will help to embed a positive, proactive working culture that delivers continuous improvement across the delivery of our safety and security activities.

What will you be doing?

SECURITY

Work as a team to deliver secure sites in line with policies and working procedures.
Assist in practical implementation and improvement of documented site procedures.
Work to establish a clear, consistent approach to physical site security and information security.
Work with security infrastructure (e.g. CCTV, fire systems, entry control etc).
Attend training and learning sessions and regular toolbox talks to maintain knowledge of emerging themes, trends and opportunities.
Assist in embedding a culture of continuous improvement into developing policies, controls and working procedures.
Maintain breach logs, statutory files, registers and error reporting site procedures.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly site inspections and reviews. Ensure all activities are properly documented and files maintained with Operations Team software.
Report issues and concerns appropriately.
CROWD/VISITOR SAFETY

Be a part of our team to deliver safe match days and events.
Carry out pre match checks as directed by our Safety Officer.
Work as part of the external team or control room team on match days at St Mary’s or Staplewood.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Carry out fit to open/fit to operate checks.
Assist in the development and certification of ISO 45,0001 management system.
Work to embed an effective safety culture across our sites.
Be a trained first aider and fire warden.
Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are recorded appropriately and reported for action.

We are looking for someone who is inclusive, open-minded, friendly and professional, and is:

Calm under pressure and focused on finding effective solutions.
A good ambassador for the Safety & Security Team, able to deliver great visitor experiences.
Motivated and able to work in a culture embracing continuous improvement and change.
Willing to learn about safety and security systems and software.
Has a current SIA license.
Previous experience in security and safety roles.
