What is the role?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new front of house assistant to join the Catering department. The new team member will be responsible for assisting and supporting during food service and set up at Staplewood, Southampton Football Clubs state of the art training facility. This role will also include supporting food requirements at St Marys Stadium for home matches for the Men’s and Women’s first team’s and Under 21’s and Under 18’s fixtures if needed.

What will you be doing?

You will assist with the serving and setting up of the dining rooms for mealtimes (breakfast, lunch, and some early dinners) and the catering for various events held throughout the year, including private dinners, BBQ’s and buffets as well as the hosting of international teams and coaches.

As well as the main dining rooms at Staplewood we also have a dining room in the Academy Village where you will serve toasties, Jacket potatoes and confectionery to parents of up-and-coming academy stars during the week at evenings and weekends and ensure a clean and presentable environment is maintained at all times.

Supporting the Front of House Supervisor and Performance Chef to complete daily food and beverage stock checks, you will assist with the management of on-site food stock ensuring target gross profits are achieved and losses are prevented.

You will take responsibility for your section, ensuring high-quality food is presented and allergens and temperatures are correctly displayed and logged.

Is this you?

You would need to be well organised, enthusiastic and a good communicator whilst being proactive. Being a ‘people person’ is a must as you will be working amongst several age groups, nationalities, and VIP guests.
