Job Description

Location: Staplewood Training Ground

Hours: Part Time

Contract Type: Casual

Criminal Record Check: DBS Enhanced with Child’s Barred List

What is the role?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Goalkeeping Coach to join our Women’s Academy, working across the U21 to U14 age groups, including our Emerging Talent Centre (ETC).

This pivotal role focuses on the technical and tactical development of our Academy goalkeepers, ensuring a clear and progressive pathway through the club.

You will work closely with the Women’s First Team Goalkeeping Coach to design and deliver a comprehensive, age-appropriate goalkeeping curriculum that aligns with our club philosophy and long-term player development goals.

What will you be doing?

You will lead and deliver high-quality, goalkeeper-specific training sessions for the U21, U16, U14 and ETC squads, fostering an environment that promotes growth, confidence, and excellence.

Supporting the U21 Head Coach, you will assist in planning, delivering, and reviewing sessions, while also providing matchday support for U21 fixtures and selected games at other age groups — typically attending one U16 or U14 match per week.

You will contribute to the creation and ongoing review of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each goalkeeper, working with players to help them reach their personal targets. You’ll provide regular feedback, incorporating video analysis where relevant, and engage in open, constructive dialogue about player progression within the coaching team.

Collaboration will be central to your work. You will liaise with age-group Head Coaches to ensure goalkeeping principles are effectively integrated into team practices and match play, while also supporting the broader technical coaching staff during on-pitch sessions when required.

Is this you?

We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing the women’s game and keen to support the positive growth of young players both personally and professionally. They should highly organised and willing to adapt to the demands of a situation. In addition, they should have good communication skills that allow them to be understood by different age groups.

Essential Skills and Experience

• FA Level 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers or the FA National Goalkeeping Course.
• UEFA C Licence or above coaching qualification.
• FA DBS.
• FA Safeguarding Children Course.
• FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA Emergency First Aid.
• Previous coaching experience in a youth development football environment.
• Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).

How this benefits you…

If you are successful, you can look forward to a healthy benefit package;

A competitive hourly rate.
Opportunity to work for a professional Football Club.
Working in an environment with strong core values.
Learning and development opportunities.
Working with likeminded individuals.
