Saints Foundation is the charity Southampton Football Club. We support people in need throughout Southampton, providing life-changing opportunities to help our city and its communities thrive.

What is the role?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising team as a Grant Funding & Research Executive. This is an important role within the Saints Foundation which enables new and on-going projects to run smoothly and achieve the desired outcome by securing the required funding.

What will you be doing?

In this role you will lead the research, prospecting and development of high-quality applications to generate income from trusts, foundations and statutory grants to fund innovative new work and sustain existing projects.

Alongside this you’ll also play a key role in our Monitoring, Evaluation and
Learning function, by reporting back to funders on the impact and outcomes the charity has achieved. There will also be a chance to play a key role in producing evidence-based insight to support teams to understand, learn and develop their work.

You’ll need to be a real team player to collaborate across all our departments; with our projects team to develop compelling cases for support; with Impact & Insight to maintain and communicate our Impact; and with Marketing & Fundraising to ensure funders are effectively stewarded.

Is this you?

You can show us creative and persuasive writing skills with good attention to detail and is excited by a varied role. You will be enthusiastic about researching a range of topics from funding opportunities, to social value and impact reporting and can work independently as well as part of a team.

You have experience within a fundraising or bid-writing role, ideally with a track record of securing large grants but we are open to those with transferable skills from another industry with the ability to pull information together from different sources.

You’re a people person with experience building, maintaining, and developing professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
