What is the role?

As an Academy Goalkeeper Coach, you will lead and manage the planning, delivery, and ongoing evaluation of an age specific goalkeeping coaching programme. This will include age specific curriculum delivery, individual development plans, player assessment and interdisciplinary review and planning.

What will you be doing?

You will be leading and assisting with the coaching delivery of an age specific coaching programme, in line with the Academy methodology and club-wide game model. You will be expected to provide detailed reports and regularly update records on individual and team progress, as requested by the Goalkeeping Development Manager, and Academy Leadership Team. In addition, you will carry effective review and feedback programme with players and families to monitor and support player progress and development

You will be expected to regularly attend Academy games and assist with a variety of age groups where needed. This may include supporting a pre-academy programme or being attached to a specific pre-academy age group.

As an Academy Goalkeeper Coach, you will build positive relationships through regular and clear communication with parents and other key stakeholders. You will also lead on the care and support of the well-being of age specific players in collaboration with the Player Care department

Is this you?

Skills and Experience

UEFA Goalkeeping B Licence (A preferable)
Undergraduate degree in sports coaching, sports science, performance analysis, or related subject.
Experience coaching within an Academy or International Youth coaching environment at relevant age groups
Experience in leading and developing a phase or team of staff in an Academy environment
Track record in developing elite talent
