Location: Burgess Park, London
Hours: Saturdays, 11:30am–1:30pm
Contract: Self-Employed / Sessional
Salary: £25-£30 per session
Contract Period: September 2026 – July 2027


About the Role

South London Girls Football Academy is seeking to appoint 1–2 Academy Coaches to join our coaching team for the 2026/27 season.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an ambitious girls' football academy, delivering high-quality coaching and supporting the long-term development of young female players in a positive, player-centred environment.

We're looking for more than qualified coaches—we're looking for good people. Coaches who genuinely care about developing young players, can build meaningful relationships, and understand the impact quality coaching can have both on and off the pitch.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, high-quality coaching sessions in line with the Academy's coaching philosophy.
- Support the technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social development of players.
- Create safe, positive and inclusive learning environments.
- Complete session planning and player development reports as required.
- Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and Academy staff.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, safeguarding and player welfare.

Essential Requirements
- UEFA B Licence
- Enhanced DBS Certificate
- FA Safeguarding Children Qualification
- FA Emergency First Aid Qualification
- Minimum five years' experience coaching youth football
- Experience working within a professional club pathway, such as an Academy, Emerging Talent Centre (ETC), Development Centre or Advanced Player Programme (APP)

Desirable
- Experience coaching within girls' football
- Experience delivering individual player development
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
