About South London Girls Football Academy

South London Girls Football Academy is a specialist girls’ development centre for players aged 4–16.

Unlike traditional grassroots clubs, our focus is not league competition — it is elite individual player development.

We deliver a structured academy programme designed to:
- Develop technically outstanding players
- Improve game understanding and decision-making
- Build confidence and character
- Create genuine pathways into professional and high-level grassroots football

We work closely with our sister club, Young Queens FC, providing players with a direct pathway into competitive grassroots football where appropriate.

The Academy also organises:
- Friendly fixtures against professional club environments
- Local tournament experiences
- Advanced development opportunities for high-potential players

Our coaching environment is modern, energetic, demanding, and player-centred.

The Role

We are looking for Academy Coaches who can deliver engaging, high-quality sessions within the Academy’s coaching methodology and curriculum.

This role is ideal for coaches who:
- Love developing players
- Bring energy and personality to sessions
- Can communicate clearly with young athletes
- Thrive within a structured football philosophy
- Want to be part of a high-performance girls’ football environment

Coaches are encouraged to bring their own personality and coaching strengths while maintaining the Academy’s standards, style, and session framework.

Key Responsibilities

Session Delivery

- Deliver high-energy, engaging 1-hour academy sessions
- Coach within the Academy curriculum and playing philosophy
- Create a positive and challenging learning environment
- Produce weekly session plans and upload them to the 360 player platform for players to see ahead of sessions.

Player Development

- Support players of all abilities and age groups
- Encourage confidence, creativity, and decision-making
- Build strong relationships with players and parents
- Support individual Player Development Plans and contribute to refined, age-appropriate learning.

Professional Standards

- Arrive 20 minutes before sessions
- Ensure all equipment is fully prepared 10 minutes before start time
- Manage session setup and pack-down professionally
- Maintain high coaching and safeguarding standards at all times

What We’re Looking For
Essential
- UEFA C Licence (minimum)
- Strong youth coaching experience
- Excellent communication and player engagement skills
- Positive attitude and high professional standards
- Ability to coach within a structured methodology
- Self-employed status (responsible for own tax and NI)

- Experience in academy, RTC, JPL, or professional environments
- High-level playing background
- Experience coaching girls’ football

- Up to £30 per session for UEFA B/A Licence coaches with strong experience

Assistant Coach
- £15 per session

Additional Information
- Monthly payment upon invoice
- Opportunities for progression as the Academy expands
- Potential for increased responsibilities and additional sessions

Why Join Us?
- Be part of a fast-growing girls’ football academy
- Work in a genuine player-development environment
- Access opportunities connected to professional club pathways
- Help shape the next generation of female footballers
- Join a positive, ambitious coaching team with high standards
