Job Description: Skateboard GB is the UK wide governing body for skateboarding – a sport and culture defined by creativity, individuality and belonging. Rooted in community and constantly evolving, skateboarding is as much about expression and identity as it is performance. The role – INED (General)
This appointment is about adding breadth, perspective and independent challenge to a growing and evolving Board.

We are seeking someone with prior Board or Non‑Executive experience who brings a thoughtful, inquisitive and values‑led approach to governance. Experience across areas such as organisational leadership, people and culture, workforce or organisational development, and public interest decision‑making would be particularly valuable, though we are open to a wide range of professional backgrounds.

As an Independent Non Executive Director, you will:
• Bring independent thinking and sound judgement to Board discussions
• Help strengthen governance, decision making and organisational maturity
• Support Skateboard GB as it balances growth, accountability and long term sustainability

You do not need to have worked in skateboarding - or even in sport - to add value in this role. What matters most is your ability to see the bigger picture, ask thoughtful questions, and contribute with clarity, integrity and care.
