OURFC Physio/Sports Therapist Organisation Sion Physio & Sports Performance Ltd Salary £90 per training session; £90-110 per match (dependent on home vs away) Location Oxford (with domestic travel to matches) Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 3 August 2025 Job Description Job title: - OURFC Practitioner (Physio or Sports Therapist)Hours: - 2 x clinic per week + 1-2 matches per week (October onwards)Location: - Training at OURFC, Jackdaw Lane, Iffley Road, OX4 1SRRemuneration: - £90 per training session; £90-110 per match (dependent on home vs away)Start date: - September/October 2025Sion Physio & Sports Performance has worked with OURFC for the last 6 seasons delivering physiotherapy and sports therapy care to the players in the Men’s and Women’s Blues (1st XV) and 2nd XV squads throughout their respective varsity campaigns and BUCS league seasons.Sion PSP is looking to recruit a Lead Physio for the Men’s Section who will work closely with the Men’s Head coach, Men’s Captain, S&C coaches, and wider coaching team. As well as being supported by the Head of Medical and the wider medical team.Role Summary:The successful applicant will deliver 2 clinics per week supporting the Men’s and Women’s Squads and support each 2nd XV on their respective match days.Match days are Wednesdays for the Panthers (Women’s 2nd XV) and Saturdays for the Greyhounds (Men’s 2nd XV), but there are occasional matches on other days.Work collaboratively with the players, coaches, club management, Men’s and Women’s Lead Physios, and Head of Medical to deliver effective assessment, treatment, and game day management to optimise player well-being, minimise time-loss through injury and maximise return to performance.Contribute to the OURFC Medical team through collaboration and CPD.Key Responsibilities:- Deliver training night injury clinics- Assess and treat players in the men’s or women’s squads to optimise injury management and recovery and minimise time-loss- Work collaboratively with Head of medical, coaches and athletes to support performance planning- Work pitchside for trauma management and injury support during matches- Utilise the electronic medical records system for accurate record keeping (TM3)- Collaborate with wider medical team for player injury management - Contribute to the OURFC Medical team for continual professional development and wider knowledge development- Comply with professional standards and codes of conductEssential Qualities:- Degree in Physiotherapy/ Sports Therapy- HCPC Membership (for physios)- CSP/Sports Therapy Association Membership or own PLI Cover - 1-2 years experience working as a physio/sports therapist- Sports experience- Ability to work evenings, and weekendsDesirable Qualities:- Pitch side trauma qualification or ability to gain one in a timely manner- Experience working in rugbyBenefits of working for OURFC and Sion Physio & Sports Performance:- Sports specific CPD- MDT working including SEMs, and S&C- Part of a dynamic team working towards a high profile match environment (Varsity at StoneX)- Mentorship on career development How to apply Please send your CV and a covering email to simon@sionphysio.com Share X LinkedIn Email
