Sports Coach (Level 2) (permanent zero hours) Organisation SHU : Sheffield Hallam University Salary £32,080 - £38,784 per annum, (pro rata) Location Sheffield Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 21 September 2025 Job Description Our Sport Hallam coaches are responsible for developing skills, performance and overall physical and mental wellbeing of our student athletes, teams and club members. Using your experience and expertise, you will plan and provide personalised coaching and, through effective communication, help guide our students to achieve their full potential. As a Sport Hallam coach, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and supporting environment in line with the Sport Hallam values for our student participants and help shape goals and contribute to continuous improvement. You will also ensure our students adhere to best practice, sportsmanship, safety and discipline in relation to their specific sport and activity, promoting Individual growth and team cohesion. We expect our coaches to: - nurture a culture of respect, resilience and a love for the sport. - plan and lead effective training sessions and prepare student athletes for competition. - attend competition/games days to support with student-athletes performance.- cultivate a positive team culture built on discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. - provide coaching expertise to improve the quality and standard of training and development.
