This role is central to maintaining the highest standards of kit preparation, presentation, and distribution for First Team players and staff across training and matchdays.Working closely with the Kit Manager, the successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day organisation of kit, ensure all equipment is prepared and delivered to the required standards, and support the smooth running of dressing room operations both home and away. The role also requires the ability to step in and provide cover for the Kit Manager when required, contributing to the overall efficiency and professionalism of the 1st Team Operations department. Candidates must be flexible with their working hours and demonstrate the highest standards of discretion and professional confidentiality.Role responsibilities:- Be responsible for all First Team Player and Staff training and match kit.- Print all First Team player and Staff training and match kit in compliance with competition regulations.- Distribute training and match kit to all First Team Players and Staff.- Prepare laundry for collection.- Set out training and match kit for all First Team Players and Staff.- Prepare and set out the team Dressing Room and Coaches' Room ahead of all home and away fixtures.- Prepare boots for all First Team Players and Staff.- Liaise with the Club Secretary for match kit confirmation.- Record and monitor stock levels of training and match kit, including regular stock checks.- Liaise with the Club Retail Department for stock levels.- Clean and tidy work areas e.g., Boot Room, Kit Room.Club wide responsibilities:- Adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.- Report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.- Report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.- Adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.- Carry out and actively participate in all training requests as directed by the Club, including mandatory health and safety training, emergency procedures, fire safety, manual handling, safeguarding, and role-specific safety instruction.- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.Essential criteria for the role:- Previous inventory management experience.- Strong organisational and communication skills.- Accurate timekeeping- A genuine team player- A reliable individual, hardworking and enthusiastic- Meticulous attention to detail.- Displays a high level of discretion and maintains strict confidentiality.- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances- A flexible approach to work as this role includes work outside of normal office hours- Full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
