Our Academy Recruitment Department have the opportunity for Zone Coordinator to join our team in the Zone 3 Area (Chesterfield, Mansfield, Nottingham).The Zone Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the scouting system for player identification within the relevant scouting zone, contributing to the overall recruitment strategy here at Sheffield United Football Club. The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of talent within their locality in addition to strong organisation and coordination skills.Role Responsibilities:- Responsible for overseeing the scouting system for player identification within a particular scouting zone.- Help formulate a long-term recruitment plan under the direction of the Head of Academy Recruitment and in accordance with the Academy Recruitment Strategy.- To have an overall responsibility for ensuring that the structure created for recruitment produces outstanding players.- Support the Head of Local Recruitment to improve links with local grassroots clubs, schools, district teams, leagues and other providers.- Ensure all recruitment staff are following set policies and procedures to ensure the recruitment process is acting within the rules of the EPPP.- Report back to the Head of Local Recruitment regularly on any progress made or issues identified.- Be available for scouting duties as and when required.- Attend the annual scout's induction event as well as scout meetings as required.- To attend CPD as required.- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.Club Wide Responsibilities:- To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.- To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.- To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.- To adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.Essential Criteria for the Role:- FA Talent ID Level 2 Certificate- FA Safeguarding Children Workshop- Completion of an enhanced criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service- Full UK Driving License- Proven track record of scouting players of school age and the process involved- Coaching experience- Understanding of Academy rules and regulations- Strong organisation and coordination skillsDesirable Criteria for the Role:- Local knowledge of grassroots football across the area of West Yorkshire.- Extensive contacts within your designated areaInterview Process:- Presentation Task with competency-based questions How to apply Application Process Please download and save the application form before inputting information.
