The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering our coaching programme to aspiring footballers, fostering their growth within a high-performance, supportive, and collaborative environment.We are looking for individuals with recognised coaching qualifications and a proven record of developing young players on the pitch, consistently committed to driving performance and excellence in every session.Role Responsibilities:- Work alongside the Heads of Coaching to deliver an age specific technical and tactical coaching programme for players in Academy in accordance with the Club's wider philosophy and strategy.- Supporting a suitable games programme to underpin the coaching programme.- Establish and maintain a comprehensive and up-to date record of players within your allocated age group on the Academy platform (Kitman) ensuring this information is kept up to date throughout the course of the season and treated confidentially.- Communicate with the MDT regarding the wellbeing of players within your specific age group.- Take part in internal CPD sessions and work with the Heads of Coaching on developing an individual Development Action Plan.- Fulfil the Coaching Competency Framework (CCF)- Play a role in the release and retention process for signed players within your specific age group.- In conjunction with the MDT, manage the process of player performance reviews organised and delivered throughout the season to players within your age group.- Identify ILP's for players within specific age groups.- Ensure completion of any mandatory training required for the role, including internal club training around Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.- Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.Club Wide Responsibilities:- Ensure completion of any mandatory training required for the role, including internal club training around Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.- Adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.- Report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.- Report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.- Adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.Essential Criteria for the Role:- FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football- Prior experience of working in a professional football academy (Full-time or part-time)- A love, passion, and experience of working within the schoolboy programme.- EFAIF (First Aid Qualification)- FA Safeguarding Children Workshop- This role requires the completion of a DBS check upon offer acceptance- Organisational skills.- Delivery skills.- Excellent communication skills- The ability to communicate with parents/guardians- The ability to communicate with players of all age ranges- The ability to communicate with coaches across all phasesWorking Schedule:- Monday: 17:00-19:00- Wednesday: 17:00-19:00- Friday: U9s 17:00-19:00 U12s 19:00-20:30- Sundays: Matchdays/Training How to apply Application Process Please download and save the application form before inputting information.
