Sheffield United FC Training Academy is seeking an experienced Position Specific Coach with a high-level understanding and detailed knowledge of the Striker position to help develop the next generation of players and continue our proud history of producing elite level footballers.The successful applicant will be expected to pass on their knowledge and expertise predominantly to our schoolboy age group players within highly detailed and engaging coaching sessions, as well as providing consistent communication with the MDP to further improve player development.Role Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with the U13s-U21s squad coaches to understand the unique needs and positions of individual players.- Conduct tailored training sessions at agreed-upon times, focusing on individual or small group development.- Supervise and coordinate the filming of sessions, providing constructive feedback to players on their performance and linking it to in-game situations.- Liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team, ensuring consistent communication and alignment of coaching messages.- Provide valuable assistance to a squad during game days, offering strategic insights and support.- Plan and evaluate for all delivered training sessions to optimise player development and overall performance.- Actively participate in staff Continuous Professional Development (CPD) events, contributing to the collective growth of the coaching team.- Any other duties as requested by management.Club Wide Responsibilities:- To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.- To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.- To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.- To adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.- To carry out/take part in training requests as directed by the Club.Essential Criteria for the Role:- UEFA B Coaching Certificate- FA Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate- This role requires a criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring service- Experience of coaching academy players- Played in the relevant position at a professional or semi-professional levelDesirable Criteria for the Role:- UEFA A Coaching Award- FA Youth Award- FA Advanced Youth Award How to apply Application Process Please download and save the application form before inputting information.
