Sheffield United Football Club are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Casual Kitman. This supporting role is key for day-to-day operations, ensuring that all equipment, kits, and logistics are managed to the highest standards, so our players are fully prepared for training and matchdays.The ideal candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and a team player with excellent communication skills. You will work closely with the Kit Manager, coaching staff, and players to deliver seamless support, from preparing kits and equipment to coordinating logistics for home and away fixtures.Key Responsibilities:- Liaising with the laundry team to ensure all kits are washed and ready for use.- Maintaining and organising all training equipment, including balls, cones, bibs, and reporting any damage or shortages.- Ensuring players have the correct kits and equipment for training sessions and matches.- Cleaning, maintaining, and preparing players' boots, including changing studs as needed.- Preparing the dressing room, laying out kits and equipment for players before matches.- Collecting and organizing all used kit and equipment after matches for cleaning and storage.- Coordinating kit and equipment logistics for away games, including packing and transportation.- Keeping track of kit and equipment stock levels, ordering replacements as needed.Club wide Responsibilities:- To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.- To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.- To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.- To adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.Essential Criteria for the Role:- Ability to multitask.- Strong organisational skills- Excellent communication skills.- Take responsibility for ensuring a high quality of work.- A genuine team player.- A reliable individual, hardworking and enthusiastic.- Meticulous attention to detail.- Displays a high level of discretion and maintains strict confidentiality.- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.- Full driver's license and access to a vehicle.Desirable Criteria for the Role:- Previous inventory management experience.
