Employability and Skills Advisor Organisation Sheffield United Community Foundation Salary 23400-24400 Location Sheffield Contract type Volunteer (Full time) Closing date 18 May 2025 Interview date 19 May 2025 Job Description We are seeking an individual who is passionate about supporting young people in their journey into employment. Reporting to the Employability Officer, the post holder will be appointed to coordinate and deliver our Employability Youth Hub based at Bramall Lane. This programme will provide an opportunity for unemployed young people in Sheffield to access training and skills to enable them to find routes into employment. The post holder will therefore have a broad range of experience in building relationships with individuals from a range of backgrounds, alongside an ability to build and maintain relationships with employers. Key Objectives of the role: ✔ Coordination of Employability Youth Hub. ✔ To provide opportunities and support for unemployed young people in Sheffield in order for them to find employment, education, Training, or become closer to the labour market. ✔ To work effectively with local employers / partners including the Job Centre Plus • To lead/support the delivery of the Employability Youth Hubs. • To develop partnerships with local businesses to provide routes into employment for young people. • To challenge and motivate young people and promote self-esteem. D D D Version 1 Date Reviewed: September 2022 Next Review: September 2023 • To maintain accurate records which measure the impact of your intervention and provide help with any administration relevant to referrals to outside agencies. • To ensure all delivery is in line with health and safety, GDPR and safeguarding policies and procedures. • To always be punctual and act in a professional manner, representing SUFC and the partner organisations. • To report any accidents to staff and/or participants involved in SUFC activities using MyConcern • The role will also embrace equality, diversity and inclusivity matters in order to facilitate a consistent, co-ordinated and embedded approach to fairness and opportunity across the Foundation. • To undertake other duties, training and/ or hours of work as may be reasonably required which are consistent with the general level and responsibility of this role.
