Job Description: Scottish Surfing is entering an exciting new chapter, with the upcoming launch of our 2026–2029 Strategy.

To support the delivery of this ambitious new vision, we are now recruiting new volunteer Directors to join our Board and help shape the future of surfing in Scotland.

Our new strategy sets out a clear commitment to positively impact lives through surfing, strengthen our communities, protect our waves and waters, and support Scottish surfers to excel at every level. To help turn this vision into reality, we are seeking individuals with the passion, skills and experience to contribute at Board level across a range of roles.

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Director provides Board-level leadership, oversight and advocacy for equality, diversity and inclusion across all areas of Scottish Surfing’s work.

The role involves constructive challenge and strategic guidance to ensure EDI considerations are embedded within decision-making, policy development and organisational culture. The EDI Director will also chair the Women and Girls Committee, acting as a key link between the Committee, the Executive and the Board.

This is not an operational role, but one that ensures accountability, ambition and progress at the highest level of the organisation.
