Job Description: Scottish Surfing is entering an exciting new chapter, with the upcoming launch of our 2026–2029 Strategy.

To support the delivery of this ambitious new vision, we are now recruiting new volunteer Directors to join our Board and help shape the future of surfing in Scotland.

Our new strategy sets out a clear commitment to positively impact lives through surfing, strengthen our communities, protect our waves and waters, and support Scottish surfers to excel at every level. To help turn this vision into reality, we are seeking individuals with the passion, skills and experience to contribute at Board level across a range of roles.

The Performance Director will provide strategic oversight, advice and challenge in relation to performance, talent pathways and elite development across all surfing disciplines.

The role requires maintaining an informed, independent perspective on performance matters, ensuring decisions made by the Performance Committee and Board are evidence-based, athlete-centred and aligned with long-term sustainability rather than short-term results alone.

The successful candidate will help shape and oversee a performance system that develops Scottish surfers capable of excelling nationally and internationally, while embedding welfare, inclusion and integrity at every stage of the pathway.
