We're looking for a HR Manager to aid in the continued growth of the business and ensure it’s a great place to work for our employees!

The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on HR Manager who shares our passion for physical activity and community impact. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is eager to lead strategic HR initiatives that empower people, enhance culture, and support our continued growth. You will have the opportunity to shape our HR function, drive impactful projects, and help build a team that loves what they do.

Take ownership of the end-to-end employee journey, overseeing everything from initial hiring to exit interviews.
Create and update HR policies that align with internal processes and current legislation; taking ownership of the staff handbook and relevant documents.
Lead the recruitment process, working with line managers to create job adverts, through to shortlisting and supporting interviews and providing offers/outcomes.
Offer professional support to both leadership and staff on all internal HR-related queries.
Support in staff wellbeing activities and coordinating with external resource platforms.
Supervise employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary action and performance management.
Support in staff training, whether that’s internal line manager training or scheduling external training for first aid, fire marshals, etc.
Coordinate the monthly payroll and liaise with our external payroll processor, updating staff profiles and documentation accordingly.
Management of the HR platform, onboarding new starters, managing reports and accuracy of information.
Monitor staff trends and work closely with the leadership team on HR-related matters.
Support with staff expenses management and relevant insurance renewals.
Remain up to date with UK legislation and employment laws, ensuring accuracy with staff documentation and internal processes, guiding line managers as and when required.
Manage internal health and safety compliance for fire risk assessments, PAT testing, COSHH, and more.
Support in organising staff wellness projects and social activities.

3+ years’ experience in HR, ideally within a fast-growing SME or dynamic environment.
CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent experience in a generalist HR management role.
Decision maker, driven by objectives, solutions, and results.
A genuine enthusiasm for sport, fitness, and community-driven work.
Experience using modern HR platforms and systems; data-led decision-making is a plus.
Adaptable, energetic, and confident in leading both HR operations and company-wide initiatives.
Someone who can work with all levels of employees.
Experience overseeing workplace Health & Safety is desirable.
