Job Description
WHAT THE PLACEMENT INVOLVES?
RunThrough Events is the largest running event company in the UK. We host over 350 events per year, at some of the most iconic locations across the country, including Alton Towers, Hampton Court Palace, Thorpe Park, Aintree Racecourse, Colchester Zoo and Knebworth House, as well as hosting major road-closed events in town and city centres.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for ambitious, hard-working and innovative students to join RunThrough Events to support the performance of the Operations Team. At RunThrough we strive to be excellent at what we do and have fun whilst doing so. We are always on the lookout for development opportunities, moments to grow, while helping our staff reach their potential.

We are looking for candidates to support the delivery of cutting edge mass-participation running events. You will be provided with a tailored development plan and training opportunities to enhance your career prospects. Research opportunities can be available by identifying proposals tailored to keep RunThrough at the forefront of the industry.

Our Operations team is split into Venues, Staffing, Logistics and Vendors departments. Our roles are varied, with most students having a key focus in one of these areas.

Essential skills and requirements for a role at RunThrough

Passionate about physical activity and running.
Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Full driving licence.
Ability to work independently and remotely during the week.
Willing to work weekends: early start, early finish.
Fluid organisation skills.
Competent with using Microsoft Office programs.
Knowledge of the U.K running industry.

Desirable attributes that will help you thrive in this role

Positive mindset.
Experience coaching groups of people or working with volunteers.
Experience working within a multidisciplinary team.

Event Operations Assistant

DURATION: 12 months

BASED: Manchester

SALARY: £12,000 per annum

FLEXIBLE HOURS: 40 hours per week, flexibility for early or late starts. Remote working options are available for a portion of the role.
