You’ll be responsible for ensuring our participants feel well informed of all aspects surrounding their event experience as well as managing a team and assisting with queries about the events. This role blends pre-planned strategy with reactive, in-the-moment assistance as well as hands-on event delivery to ensure that our community feels welcome at our events.Key ResponsibilitiesEvent CommunicationsEnsure that event-related announcements, updates, and communications are clearly conveyed to participants, sponsors, and partners.Manage the flow of pre- and post-event messaging to maintain engagement and clarity via email (Mailchimp), SMS, & social media.Crisis & Reputation ManagementLead crisis communications as the main point of contact with speed, sensitivity, and transparency protecting and maintaining the RunThrough brand and reputation. Develop and maintain a rapid-response playbook to all communications tailored to the live events sector.Manage the team to continually monitor sentiment, media, & social media coverage to anticipate risks and seize opportunities.Customer Service & Comms Team ManagementManagement of the customer service team & freelancers who are at the forefront of keeping our participants informed. Assist our customer service team with responding to all customer service enquiries, ensuring that responses are prompt, accurate, and professional, providing top-notch service to participants and stakeholders.Event EngagementActively engage with the RunThrough events on a semi-regular basis in a variety of different ways to ensure full understanding of the offering, ways to improve for our customers, and the chance to interact with our community.What We’re Looking ForRequired4+ years in Communications Efficient, coherent communicatorExceptional writing skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.Deep understanding of media and social platform management relevant to live events. Background in crisis communications and real-time media response.
