Job Description
Rise Physiotherapy is looking for an outstanding Senior MSK Physiotherapist to join our growing team, with opportunities across our Bristol locations.

We are a forward-thinking clinic delivering high-end assessment, rehabilitation, and long-term exercise-based care for Bristol’s active community, from young athletes and climbers to middle-aged sportspeople and older individuals managing joint pain, surgery, and physical wellbeing.

With clinics established across Bristol and the wider area, including Backwell, and further growth planned, this is an exciting opportunity to join Rise at a formative stage and help shape how exceptional MSK care is delivered.

The Role

This is a key role for a motivated and clinically excellent physiotherapist who holds themselves to a high standard and consistently asks, “How can I do better for this patient?”

You will work autonomously while being fully supported by a collaborative, specialist team. You will value thorough assessment, coach clients in their rehabilitation, and deliver measurable outcomes, rather than quick fixes.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to develop professionally, work with a highly active caseload, and contribute to shaping the growth of the clinic.

Role type: Part-time (initially evenings)
Employment: Permanent or contract (to be discussed)
Remuneration: Competitive, aligned with NHS Agenda for Change Band 6 equivalent

What We’re Looking For

Essential
BSc Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
HCPC registration & CSP membership.
Minimum 3 years post-graduate MSK experience (Band 6 equivalent).
Private practice experience.
Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and manual therapy skills.
Confidence delivering coached, gym-based rehab.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
High-standard IT/admin skills (Gmail, Excel, Google Drive).
Right to work in the UK & Enhanced DBS.
Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable
Pilates training
Sports massage qualification
Strength & Conditioning experience
Shockwave therapy experience
Therapeutic injection qualification

What You’ll Do

Deliver expert MSK assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across a range of conditions.
Confidently identify red flags and non-MSK pathology.
Manage complex and varied caseloads with autonomy and confidence.
Design and coach high-quality rehabilitation programmes, with the option for gym-based guided rehab, while integrating manual therapy, shockwave therapy, and S&C principles.
Use objective testing to guide decision-making and progression.
Liaise internally for ultrasound, injections, or specialist input when appropriate.
Provide patients with: Clear explanations. Written summaries of assessments. Defined rehab goals and plans. Respond to patient queries professionally.
Actively contribute to service development and clinic growth.
Support diary growth through excellent care, feedback, and client advocacy.
Manage your caseload efficiently while maintaining exceptional clinical standards.
Collaborate with referrers, coaches, other clinicians, and the wider sports community.

Why Join Rise Physiotherapy?

Work in one of Bristol’s most unique clinical environments, located in some of the most dynamic gym environments and climbing centres.
Treat a motivated, engaged, and active caseload.
Be part of a clinic that invests in innovation, development, and high standards of care.
Strong opportunities for career growth as we expand.
Supportive environment with access to specialist facilities, a progressive team, and ongoing CPD.

Our Approach & Clinical Environment

At Rise Physiotherapy we prioritise long-term exercise rehabilitation and do not shy away from complexity.
We operate with the mindset of “how can we do better?”, supported by:
Comprehensive assessments and detailed clinical reasoning
Objective testing (dynamometry, functional strength testing)
Personalised, one-to-one guided rehab (often weekly or twice weekly)
Access to ultrasound imaging, private MRI, and surgical referral pathways
Management options including ultrasound-guided injections, Blood Flow Restriction Training, and Shockwave Therapy
We aim to work to the standard of the best sports medicine teams.

Team & Culture

We are a highly collaborative and supportive team with strong experience across upper limb, spinal, and lower limb specialties.
Clinical discussion and reasoning together is encouraged.
Internal referrals for second opinions or case handovers are routine.
Open USS and injection referral pathways allow for dynamic, joined-up care.
Our results speak for themselves. We have a strong reputation and we protect that by delivering outstanding care in every interaction.

Who This Role Suits

A clinician who takes pride in doing excellent work, enjoys complexity and long-term rehab, values teamwork and shared problem-solving, wants to be part of a clinic where standards matter and wants to contribute to the growth of a high-quality MSK service.
If you’re motivated, thoughtful, want to deliver MSK care at a genuinely high level and be part of something exciting, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV and cover letter to risephysio@gmail.com
