Job Description
BACKGROUND

Rangers Football Club, formed in 1872, is one of the world’s longest established and most successful clubs, having won 55 League titles, 34 Scottish Cups, 28 League Cups and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1972.

Playing at the iconic 51,700 seat Ibrox Stadium and benefitting from a world-class 37-acre training facility, the club has been a leading light in Scottish, British and European football for decades.

The club benefits from a famously loyal support and the high volume of season ticket uptake means the club features in the top 19 average attendances in Europe. It is estimated that Rangers has a global fanbase of 4m, half of which are based in the UK.

JOB TITLE: Girls' Academy Goalkeeping Coach

REPORTING LINE: Head of Women's Goalkeeping

DEPARTMENT: Women's & Girls'

LOCATIONS: Training Ground

CONTRACT: Zero Hour

THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to create an elite performance environment for the Girls Academy Goalkeepers. This role is responsible for the preparation and delivery of goalkeeping coaching sessions relevant to the age and stage of the players you are working with.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver goalkeeping coaching sessions that align with the football methodology of the Academy and goalkeeping curriculum.
Plan, deliver and review all Academy goalkeeping sessions to ensure a high standard of coaching is maintained.
Motivate, challenge and develop all goalkeepers during sessions.
Work closely with the Academy Manager, Head of Girls’ Academy Goalkeeping, technical, performance, analysis and player welfare staff for the benefit of the goalkeeper.
Participate in Girls Academy management meetings as required.
Ensure all administration tasks are completed in timely manner.
Be responsible for all equipment utilised during training sessions.
Participate in player review process by providing feedback to parents and players.
Continually remain updated on current best practice while participating in courses to continue personal development.

THE CANDIDATE

UEFA B GK licence (or working towards)
Confident individual with good presence, engaging personality and profile with the ability to be self-composed and patient in all situations.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, along with very good interpersonal skill, administration and organisational skills.
An engaging innovative individual with an ability to captivate and motivate staff and players.
An ability to multi-task and must have an understanding of the range of functions which make an academy and high-performance environment.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages, sports office and analysis software.
