It is estimated that Rangers has a global fanbase of 4m, half of which are based in the UK.JOB TITLE: Performance Coach: PDP & U19 Lead REPORTING LINE: Head of Academy Performance DEPARTMENT: Academy Performance & Preparation LOCATIONS: Rangers Training Centre, Auchenhowie RoadCONTRACT: Permanent, Full Time An opportunity has arisen to join the Academy Performance & Preparation department at Rangers Football Club as a Performance Coach leading the Professional Development Phase & U19s.The Performance Coach will be responsible for developing and overseeing the performance strategy for the Professional Development Phase as well as all aspects of delivery for the U19s within Rangers Academy. The provision provided should be holistic, player centred in line with the overall Club, Academy and Performance vision, with the aim of maximising players physical potential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· The delivery and development of the performance strategy for Rangers FC Academy Professional Development Phase. Provision should be in line with both the Academy and Club’s strategic objectives and guided by the performance pillars which provide the platform for the physical development strategy. To lead a team of practitioners, including studentships to effectively deliver the performance strategy.· The performance strategy should focus on the following areas:- A physical training strategy designed to develop first ream ready – elite physical capacities. This includes but is not limited to; gym and pitch- based programming and training, planning and periodisation of training, player tracking and monitoring. Physical performance testing and the associated interpretation and reporting of results as required. Attending games and training camps (will include evenings and weekends).- Individualised training programmes to drive performance and development.- Player performance education to maximise player development and performance. Holistic education in key performance lifestyle principles.- Coach education, support and development to provide insight, influence, support and educate key stakeholders. Deliver and coordinate relevant feedback processes with players, coaches and medical staff for key decision making.- Strategy alignment across teams and between multi-disciplinary departments. Develop strong relationships and collaboration.
