Job Description

Queen Mary University of London Women's Hockey Club is looking to appoint two enthusiastic and committed coaches for the 2026/27 season. We are recruiting one coach for our 1st Team and one coach for our 2nd and 3rd Teams.

Our coaches play an important role in helping players develop their technical ability, improve match performance and build confidence throughout the season. With our previous coaches having moved away, we are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting student sport and creating a positive environment where players of all abilities can develop.

Required Qualifications
England Hockey Level 1 Coaching Qualification (or equivalent)
Valid First Aid Certificate

Training Schedule

Venue: Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre

Training: Mondays, 5:45pm to 7:00pm

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging training sessions that support player development across a range of abilities.

Help players improve their technical skills, tactical understanding and overall match performance.

Create a positive, inclusive and supportive training environment where all players feel welcome.

Attend training sessions consistently and work closely with the club committee and team captains.

Encourage commitment, teamwork and a strong club culture across all teams.

Demonstrate professional coaching standards and act in line with Queen Mary Students' Union's Code of Conduct.

Have an understanding of, or an interest in, university sport and the student experience.
