Gait Analyst/Footwear Sales Technician

Job Description: We are looking for a Footwear Technician to work in our Sports and Footwear Lab in Fulham! The Profeet Sports Lab aims to improve performance, increase comfort and prevent injury. We do this through variety of biomechanical assessments, providing fully custom insoles and recommending correct footwear.

ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS
Duties and responsibilities:
- Carrying out a professional biomechanical assessment using 2D video gait analysis, RunRight 3D and static and dynamic foot pressure scanning – dependant on appointment booking.
- Interpreting the analysis results accordingly to individuals running/walking pattern as well as accounting for any present or historic injuries/issues.
- When necessary, technician needs to be able to provide a fully custom insole set to increase performance and comfort proprioception.
- Designing, moulding and hand finishing (cutting, grinding) custom insoles while the customer waits
- Recommending appropriate footwear based on the outcome of gait analysis and foot mechanics.
- Providing exercise and strengthening programs.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science or sport related field - sports rehab, sports therapy, etc.
- Strong interest and/or previous participation in sports.
- Experience of working in sales or retail.
- Excellent communication
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Good time management and ability to multi-task.
- Delivering an outstanding customer service.

Training will be provided on specialist analysis software/hardware, moulding and fabrication of custom insoles as well as footwear specifics. In addition, weekly teaching focuses both internally and externally on biomechanics, physiology of running and science behind footwear design.

This position is full time Tuesday to Saturday with late closing on a Thursday.
