Are you passionate about women’s sport and ready to play a key role in a dynamic and forward-thinking football environment?
Portsmouth FC Women are looking for a highly organised and proactive Kit & Operations Executive to support the day-to-day running of our 1st Team and Professional Game Academy (PGA) until 30 June 2026. If you thrive in a fast-paced football environment, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and want to play a key role in the development of the women’s game—this is the role for you

Your key responsibilities will include:

As our KIT and Operations Executive, you will be at the heart of our club’s day-to-day operations. You will be at the heart of our women’s football programme—ensuring that every training session, matchday, and event runs smoothly and to the highest standards. From managing kit and equipment to coordinating travel, accommodation, and communication with players and parents, your attention to detail and operational focus will help elevate the standards of our programme.
You will work closely with the Head of Football and coaching staff and play a vital role on matchdays—home and away—by preparing facilities, transporting kit, and making sure everything is in place so players can perform at their best.

Day-to-Day Operations:
• Manage travel, hotels, and logistics for fixtures and events.
• Ensure effective and timely communication with players, staff, and parents/carers.
• Maintain the fixture calendar and manage matchday preparations.
• Be the primary point of contact for match officials and opposing teams.
• Manage all post-match laundry and kit turnaround.

Matchday Duties:
• Attend all 1st Team fixtures (home and away), including overnight stays as required.
• Set up dressing rooms and manage individual player requirements.
• Drive and prepare the kit van, and ensure hotel and changing rooms are ready pre-arrival.
• Submit team sheets post-match and return all kit for cleaning.

Kit Management:
• Print shirts and personalise kit for players and staff.
• Plan, order, and reconcile seasonal kit requirements.
• Conduct monthly kit stocktakes and manage restocking needs.
Leadership and Communication:
• Build strong relationships with players, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Represent the club professionally with partners, governing bodies, and the wider community.
• Uphold and promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and high standards.
General Duties:
• Manage matchday supplies (water, snacks, etc.).
• Maintain health and safety and safeguarding standards at all times.
• Perform additional duties as required by the Head of Football or senior management.

What We’re Looking For:

You are a strategic and proactive operations professional with a background in high-performance sport—preferably football—who thrives on making things run smoothly, solving problems before they arise, and working collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Essential Experience & Knowledge
• Previous experience in high-performance football operations.
• Strong understanding of FA, WSL, FIFA, and PGA compliance standards.
• Working knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and welfare procedures.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex logistics and communicate clearly.
• A passion for elite sport and an appreciation of the women’s football landscape.
• Knowledge and awareness of diversity and equality challenges in football.

Essential Criteria
• Enhanced DBS check – will be provided by the club
• FA Safeguarding Children
• FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (IFAiF) or FA Emergency First Aid
