Job Description: Reporting To: Head of Medical Performance
Direct Reports: Student Physiotherapists, Sports Therapists, and Rehabilitators

Role Purpose

To lead the operational delivery of medical rehabilitation services within First Team training and matchdays, minimising the impact of illness and injury.

Key Responsibilities

Lead in the design and delivery of PVFC long-term injury rehabilitation programmes for first team MSK injuries.
Assist in the clinical management of the playing squad for illness and injuries.
Assist in the clinical preparation and first aid emergencies of the playing squad at home matches.
Maintain a comprehensive, indexed database of note keeping in accordance with professional standards requirement.
Lead the club’s internal CPD programme.
Attend / chaperone players to appointments, injections, consultations and surgeries when required, as directed by the Head of Medical Performance.
Support the process of the club's protocol for concussion assessment and management.
The responsibilities outlined above are not exhaustive and may be subject to change. The successful candidate may be required to undertake additional tasks that are appropriate to the role, in order to support the evolving priorities and operational needs of the Club.
Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy
Current registration with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a first team football environment
Valid ITMMiF (Immediate Treatment in Medical Management in Football) certificate
Desirable Qualifications

Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in a Sports Medicine-related field
Valid ATMMiF (Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football) certificate
Additional Requirements

Enhanced DBS Check
Eligibility to work in the UK
Full, clean UK driving licence
