Job Description: Department: Talent Programme
Reports to: England National Talent Coach (Central/Northern)
Location: Paddle UK Offices, National Water Sports Centre, Adbolton Lane, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham, NG12 2LU
Hours: Part time, 22.2 hours per week, with regular mornings and weekend work and domestic and international travel required.

The Role

Paddle UK is looking for a passionate and motivated coach to join the England Slalom Talent Programme, working in partnership with the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University.

This role will support the development and performance of university athletes and Holme Pierrepont Canoe Club paddlers, helping athletes prepare for BUCS competitions and GB team selection events.

The role will also support the planning and delivery of England Whitewater training camps and Slalom Schools camps.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality coaching and training support for identified athletes
Coach at BUCS and GB selection events
Support university athlete recruitment and scholarship programmes
Deliver performance coaching sessions at Holme Pierrepont Canoe Club
Coordinate England Whitewater training camps
Work collaboratively with university and Talent Programme staff

About You

You will have:

National coaching qualification, with a minimum Canoe Slalom Coach Award or equivalent
Strong technical coaching and athlete development knowledge
Excellent communication and leadership skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively

Desirable

Experience coaching at Junior/U23 international level
Safeguarding knowledge
Relevant degree or Canoe Slalom Performance Coach Award
