Job Description
Oxfordshire Cricket is the governing body for cricket in Oxfordshire. As the county board we oversee a broad range of initiatives and programmes that support participation, recreational play and performance cricket throughout the county. We are committed to making cricket open for all, creating opportunities for participation across schools, clubs and communities.

Oxfordshire Cricket is seeking to appoint three new Non-Executive Directors to its Board. These individuals will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cricket across the region and strengthening the organisation’s governance.

Following a recent board-level skills audit, Oxfordshire Cricket has identified key areas of expertise that it is keen to incorporate into its existing Board to support its strategic ambitions.

Skillset Specific Criteria

- Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection (in sport, education, social care, health, charity, or related fields).

- Strategic insight, able to lead discussion and influence decision-making at Board level.

- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policy, and best practice.- Commitment to inclusion and a child-centred approach.

- Understanding of safeguarding adults as well as children.

- Knowledge of the ECB’s Safe Hands framework.

- Awareness of cricket, though passion for sport and community impact is just as valuable.
