Job Description
Job title:
- Men’s Lead Physio
Hours:
- 2 x clinic per week (Monday evening and 1 other in the week) + 1 x match per week (Fridays unless otherwise stated)
Location:
- Training at OURFC, Jackdaw Lane, Iffley Road, OX4 1SR
Remuneration:
- £90 per training session; £95-125 per match (dependent on home vs away)

OURFC has worked with Sion Physio & Sports Performance for the last 6 seasons. Sion PSP delivers physiotherapy and sports therapy care to the players in the Men’s and Women’s Blues (1st XV) and 2nd XV squads throughout their respective varsity campaigns and BUCS league seasons.
OURFC in partnership with Sion PSP is looking to recruit a Lead Physio for the Men’s Section who will work closely with the Men’s Head coach, Men’s Captain, S&C coaches, and wider coaching team. As well as being supported by the Head of Medical and the wider medical team.

Role Summary:
The successful applicant will deliver 2 clinics per week to the Men’s squad and pitchside support to the Men’s Blues (1st XV) on match days. Clinics will be on a Monday evening, with flexibility for the 2nd clinic during the week.
Match days are on Friday evenings (unless otherwise stated).
You will work collaboratively with the players, coaches, club management, and Head of Medical and wider medical team to deliver effective assessment, treatment, and game day management to optimise player well-being, minimise time-loss through injury and maximise return to performance.
As well as contribute to the OURFC Medical team through collaboration and CPD.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver twice weekly injury clinics (days and times to be inline with captain and coach requirements)
- Assess and treat players in the men’s squads to optimise injury management and recovery and minimise time-loss
- Work collaboratively with Head of medical, coaches and athletes to support performance planning
- Work pitchside for trauma management and injury support during matches
- Utilise the electronic medical records system for accurate record keeping (TM3)
- Collaborate with wider medical team for player injury management
- Contribute to the OURFC Medical team for continual professional development and wider knowledge development
- Comply with professional standards and codes of conduct

Essential Qualities:
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC Membership
- CSP Membership or own PLI Cover
- 3+ years’ experience working as a physio
- Sports experience
- Ability to work evenings, and weekends

Desirable Qualities:
- Pitch side trauma qualification or ability to gain one in a timely manner
- Experience working in rugby
