It is one of 39 County Cricket Boards/Foundations in England & Wales and works in partnership with several key stakeholders to develop the recreational game locally in line with the strategy developed by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Job SpecificationThe Steelbacks Foundation are looking to appoint an Inclusion Officer. The role will lead and support the delivery of a range of high-quality cricket and community projects, programmes and events that engage and inspire individuals from new groups to sustain and grow the game in the county. The role will be key to establishing cricket as the most inclusive team sport in Northamptonshire, in line with the Steelbacks Foundation Strategic EDI Plan 2025-2026. You’ll be Doing- Oversee the operational delivery of selected club support to diversify the ethnicity of the volunteer workforce, work within under represented or deprived communities and increase the number of females involved- Work closely with the Clubs Manager to identify clubs in selected locations to help them reach participants from target groups- Coordinate the delivery of bespoke volunteer programmes to attract new groups to the game. - Utilise the Metro Bank Funding to grow the number of females in active qualified coaching roles.- Work collaboratively across the ECB and local volunteer associations to Plan recruitment of a more diverse Coaching and Officials workforce.- Deliver three new Walking Cricket Hubs focusing on Ethnicity, Female and Low Socio-Economic areas.- Develop and grow the Foundation Disability Cricket programmes in partnership with Lord’s Taverners and increase the number of ECB Disability Champion clubs.- Extend the current Street Cricket programmes focusing on increased participation and volunteer recruitment.- Identify target areas of low socio-economic activity for the delivery of strategic bursary place All Stars and Dynamos programmes.
