Job Description
Join Our Team as a Partnerships Sales Manager at Motorsport UK!



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partnerships Sales Manager to join the national governing body, Motorsport UK, monetising key commercial properties of the organisation. Motorsport UK represents over 75,000 competitors and volunteers and over 700 clubs at the heart of motorsport. Under the leadership of the Chairman, David Richards CBE, the organisation is investing in an exciting period of change to drive growth and create a sustainable future for motorsport in the UK.



Primary Objectives



Central to this role is your ability to apply your ability to drive new and recurring commercial partner revenues into Motorsport UK from its owned and promoted championships and participation campaigns.



The primary objectives associated with this role will be:



- New partner acquisition: Lead on all partner acquisition across Motorsport UK properties with a particular focus on:
A. Girls on Track UK

B. British Rally Championship

C. British Kart Championships

D. British F4 Championship

E. Motorsport UK Academy

F. Girls Karting Academy

G. Other Major Events, Championships and Campaigns

- Partner Management: Responsible for account and relationship management of all major Motorsport UK partners ensuing rights delivery and continuity of business and contract extensions
- Pipeline Management: building and working opportunities through the sales pipeline
- Performance & Monitoring: Responsibility for the monitoring and reporting of commercial partnership results
- This role requires flexibility in working hours, including occasional extended hours to meet critical deadlines. As our sport operates primarily on weekends, full availability for travel and event support throughout the year is essential.


Core Competencies



Below are the core competencies, knowledge, and skills required to be successful in this role:



- A demonstratable track record in securing significant third-party commercial partner revenue for sports propositions
- A background and creative flair in developing new products, services, commercial portfolios and partnerships and delivering sustained business growth
- You will likely have performed a similar role with a membership agency or sports property
- You will be a self-starter, capable of working autonomously.
- You will be equally at home conceiving and developing plans for products and services as all-new events to commercialise and getting your sleeves rolled up, attending events and being a face of the organisation while delivering on the ground.
- You are highly organised and capable of managing a broad and ambitious workload and prioritising accordingly.
- You will be highly adept with both PowerPoint and Excel, and conversant with a wide range of project tools from Microsoft suite, Adobe products, SharePoint, OneDrive etc.
- You will understand the importance of working collaboratively with partners to deliver projects.
- We operate in a fast-moving world, and you will be expected to keep abreast of the environment, thinking on your feet, and applying yourself accordingly.


Knowledge and Experience



- An understanding and appreciation of motorsport.
- Experience of managing an ongoing sales funnel through each stage from proposal to contract.
- A commitment to getting out and about at a number of UK motorsport events.
- A passion and pride in delivering high quality work with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent commercial and communication skills to negotiate a good deal.
- A confident and effective communicator of your ideas with good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas, while overcoming objections.
- Time management skills and the ability to cope with numerous projects.
- Highly conversant in the range of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to generate meaningful insight on which to develop business cases.
- Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your work.
- Effective networking skills to build contacts.
- A thirst for knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement.
- A flexible, responsive and can-do attitude.
