Location: Motorsport UK, Bicester Motion

Hours of Work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week). Core hours are 09:00 until 17:30, Mon – Fri

Join Our Team as a Marketing Executive at Motorsport UK!


This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career who wants to develop their experience in a broad spectrum marketing role, working in the best sport going!

The Motorsport UK Marketing Executive performs a key role within the Marketing and Communications team to support the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, member engagement and commercial growth.

Reporting directly into the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive role is integral to the roll out of campaigns across multiple organisational workstreams and campaign initiatives, collaborating accordingly across all departments (the ‘clients’) to deliver campaigns that help get more people enjoying motorsport, more often.


Primary Objectives

The primary objectives associated with this role will be:

- Supporting the Marketing Manager with the implementation of marketing campaign plans across digital, social, content, email, and offline channels.
- Execute the day-to-day marketing operations including the execution of campaign plans (authored by the Marketing Manager), supporting across campaign production, and campaign execution. Ensuring all relevant documentation and campaign assets are saved to the server as per the specified server structure.
- Fulfilment of digital presences (email and websites) to ensure a consistent membership engagement strategy is executed, tracked, and optimised.


Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the primary objectives listed above, the Marketing Executive will be responsible for:

- Member Engagement support: supporting all key membership interactions such as regular email communications, member surveys, and renewals processes to ensure all interactions (whether digital or physical) make it easy and enjoyable for people to get into the sport and keep them doing it for many years.

- Events Marketing support: supporting the Marketing Manager with events marketing and contractual promotional support to high-profile internal and external events.

- Workflow support: ensuring the MarComms project ‘mothership’ is kept up to date with upcoming ‘cultural’ events and all key event dates (championships, external events etc.). This is alongside owning the MarComms team whereabouts tracker, ensuring it is kept up to date with events the team are attending throughout the year.

- Campaign process support: ensuring the two key campaign documents (Campaign planner & Tone of Voice document) are executed accordingly for each campaign supporting the Marketing Manager in the creation of all assets to deliver.

- Digital ticket management: attending the ‘daily creative huddle’ to update the Marketing Manager on the status of digital tickets (email and website update requests) ensuring briefs are received and delivered in a high quality and timely manager, working with the Marketing Manager for input and support where needed.

- Client management: liaising directly with organisational owner (the client’s) to communicate when digital tasks such as emails and website updates have been actioned accordingly.


Core Competencies


Below are the core competencies, knowledge, and skills required to be successful in this role:

- A relevant Marketing degree or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- An engaging personality, with a collaborative and ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Great organisational skills to own specific deliverables end to end and ensure the team delivers for our clients.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with the wider MarComms team to deliver campaigns, alongside the client management process along the way.
- Excellent visual and writing skills to judge creative with, often providing copy amendments to email copy, or to the design team in the creation of email and web graphics.
- Hard work ethic and high degree of integrity with the ability to work and manage time independently and prioritise tasks.
- A flexible approach when working as an important part of a team.
Knowledge of and interest in motorsport.
